When I hear the words travelling with a toddler I must admit that my heart rate escalates and I start to feel panicky. However, I refuse to stay inside for the duration of Lucy’s toddlerhood and believe that exposing her to the situations that are normal to our family will teach her how to respond to those events. This post is about what worked for us getting away and back, and adjusting to a holiday routine. Read the rest of this entry

Coffee and a play at Carousel Shopping Centre
Today I had morning tea with my Grandparents at Westfield Carousel at Niche Cafe.
Sweet Potato, Pumpkin and Zucchini Frittata
I cooked this frittata for friends for lunch yesterday and it worked out amazing! So simple really. Lucy enjoyed it because she could pick up the pieces easily and there were nice chunks of veg too. Read the rest of this entry
Getting organised – storing outgrown clothes.
This time next year, we should be unpacked in our newly built house. Knowing that the packing and unpacking is on its way, I’m thinking of ways to stay organised whilst I pack away all the clothes and baby things that Lucy is growing out of. Read the rest of this entry
The best bibs ever!
I have found that the best bibs ever are from Cotton On Kids. They are quite pricey, $9.95 each or two for $15, but they are thick and absorbent, have cute designs, and fit nicely around the neck with a press stud. I wouldn’t bother with any other cotton/thinner bibs. *On sale until 26th September 2011 – these bibs are only $6.97 each!

Roast Pumpkin and Zucchini Risotto (8mo+)

We had the feeling that she was ready to learn how to put herself to sleep and we were ready not to have to sit with her in our arms for hours on end. Read the rest of this entry
Shopping with toddlers
The title of this blog post sounds like a new release horror film. Who in their right mind would take a toddler shopping!? But you know what? It has to be done – for food, household supplies, clothes in the next size up for the kidlets….and of course for a coffee OUT OF THE HOUSE! I saw the most amazing thing at Garden City one day and I had to share it (you may already know about this, but if not prepared to be amazed). Read the rest of this entry
