When I first took Lucy out of the house, I never knew the extent of the ‘backstage world’ that parenting is. Suddenly, I found myself needing to consider where I had to park (to get the pram out of the boot easily, undercover from rain/heat), where I’d be able to change her (and if the room was fit for a baby), how I could feed her discretely and if I could even get around with the pram.
