I’m a new mum, my daughter Lucy was born in June 2010, and I’m one of the first of my close friends to have a baby. It has definitely been a life changing experience, some of it I was prepared for and other aspects have been quite a challenge! I wouldn’t have it any other way though.

I like to try to be as prepared as possible for each day, I think that’s the school teacher in me. I never know what the day will bring but I know that if my nappy bag is stocked and I know what facilities are available to me where I’m going, I feel less worried and can enjoy every moment with my little Lucy.

I’ve found some parenting websites contain judgmental users who present their style or techniques as the ‘only way’ and often reply to queries in a harsh and not very helpful way. I wanted to create a source of information, whilst still opinion based, that provides an overview of the products I use, facilities that I’ve found useful, family friendly restaurants or entertainment spots and links to services. All in one place.

And of course this is an outlet for me to write about my experiences as a new parent. I am definitely not an expert, but I wanted to share my thoughts in the hope that my posts are useful for any expectant or new parents reading.
