With three colds in the past two months, our Hippo Deluxe Steam Vaporizer

has had quite a work out. The back of it got a bit scaly so we decided to buy a new vaporizer and went for the Vicks Warm Steam Vaporizer (because our local chemist had it, and it was on sale for $49.95 including the Vicks Vapour liquid and a Baby Vicks rub).

The smell of the Vicks is a nice change from the Eucalyptus Oil we were using, it’s not as ‘harsh’ because of the peppermint oil that it has in it too. It does the job of freshening Lucy’s room, and humidifying it of course, but it doesn’t warm the room up like the Hippo did. Which could be a pro or a con. The Hippo added a couple of degrees to Lucy’s room which was great for these nights where it hovers around 20 degrees overnight. But really, the difference between 19-21 degrees isn’t that noticeable when you’re tucked up in bed asleep
The Vicks Vaporizer makes quite a bubbling noise when it’s on, which would drive me crazy trying to get to sleep (but I need silence to fall asleep). It hasn’t seemed to bother Lucy at all, in fact the last two nights we’ve had the machine on she hasn’t woken up for the day until 6:30am! Which is good for her
And us!
Cost and convenience were the major factors of us purchasing the Vicks over the Hippo this time around. Our chemist is only a walk away and we needed one on (public holiday) Monday night. They essentially do the same job, but the major differences are the smell, the ‘warmth’ of the humidity, and the noise they make. If Lucy were still sleeping in our room and needed the vaporizer on, I’d be getting the Hippo because of the quieter sound.

Wonderful work! This is the kind of information that should be shared around the internet.
Shame on the seek engines for now not positioning this submit upper!
Come on over and seek advice from my web site . Thank you =)
